Our Building

We are blessed to have a nice church building dating back to 1962. The campus at 3915 Turnpike Road, Portsmouth, VA 23701 includes a church building and gymnasium. The church building includes an auditorium that can accommodate about 300 people. We have plenty of paved and grass parking.

The auditorium has a beautiful cedar-planked ceiling. Our "Sacred Grounds" Coffee/Cafe area is adjacent to the auditorium and can be used as an overflow area, allowing us to seat more people for special occasions.  The main building also has a children's wing,  restrooms, meeting rooms, offices, classrooms, a prayer room, and an area for teens. Our gym has an open area for food/fellowship events and sports, a commercial kitchen, restrooms, and classrooms.

We're thankful for the architecture and space. We use the historic building for modern worship services, remembering the wonderful things God did for several church families and generations in the past as we look forward to what God is going to do at Tidewater Church. We are blessed to have nice facilities to begin a church in, but the buildings do need repairs and renovations. With the Lord's help, we plan to improve the buildings and parking lot, in the coming months. We encourage you to enjoy our facilities with us and please be patient as we improve them for the glory of God. Currently, we are working to repair and improve our roofs and HVAC systems. We do have good air conditioning and heating in the areas of the building we are using for meetings. You may see a tarp on the roof as we move forward with contracting to replace all the roofs over the next few months. Thanks for understanding.
